Overview

Chingaza is one of the most impressive natural parks in Colombia. Located just east of Bogotá at an altitude of 3400 meters above sea level, this natural park has a unique ecosystem belonging to the high Andean forest, which plays a crucial role in maintaining the Earth's balance.

What To Expect

Chingaza National Park
The trip begins at 7:00 am from your hotel in Bogotá, where the driver will meet you to undertake a 1.5-hour trip east of the capital. In the middle of the road, you will stop at La Calera and taste the acclaimed arepas with red wine (a softer version of American coffee). When you arrive at the entrance of the national park, you will meet the local guide, who will accompany you along the walk. The native guides of this region have a deep knowledge of the flora and fauna of the region, with which they can highlight fascinating aspects of the route and tell you anecdotes related to indigenous cultures and traditional peasant communities in the area.
