Overview

Experience Bogotá’s La Candelaria neighborhood and the mountaintop Monserrate Monastery (If your select this option)  during this 7 or 8 hour excursion. Wander the narrow streets of Bogotá’s La Candelaria area as you visit the city’s Gold Museum, Botero Museum and more. you will have free time to have lunch before you ascend by cable car to Monserrate to enjoy stunning views of the Colombian capital. Museum entrance fees and your cable car ride are all covered. You will have the oportunity to decide if you visit  Monserrate or not.

Our first stop of the day is the Gold Museum which displays more than 35.000 pieces of precolombian art. A must see to all visitors of the city

We will continue the tour at Bolivar's Square where the most important buildings of the city are found

Leaving the square, we will walk a few blocks until we reach the Casa de la Moneda Museum where the Botero Museum is found exhibiting not only the master pieces of the Colombian artis Fernando Botero but also art pieces from artists like Joan Miró or Pablo Picasso

Barrio La Candelaria
declared National Monument in 1963, is formed by the intersection of the neighborhoods of “La Cathedral,” “Egipto” and “La Concordia.” The area preserves the buildings built in the 16th century, and its steep, stone-paved, streets all have names dating to the colonial era.
