What To Expect

Gold Museum (Museo del Oro)
It is considered the largest museum of its kind in the world, with 50,000 objects exhibited in its archaeological collection, including gold pieces, lithic objects, ceramics, precious stones, and textiles belonging to different indigenous cultures that inhabited different regions of Colombia.
Note: It does NOT open on Mondays, it will be replaced by a visit to another attraction of interest depending on availability.

Plaza de Bolivar de Bogota
Main square of Bogotá and Colombia, declared a National Monument in 1995. This temple, located at the corner of 11th street and 4th street, was declared a National Monument in 1975. The church has a central nave and two lateral ones and stands out for housing important works of religious art of colonial origin.

Plaza Del Chorro Del Quevedo
In the Chorro de Quevedo square, it is believed that Bogotá was founded on August 6, 1538.
This open-air space in the La Candelaria sector, where there is a doctrine chapel, can be reached by an old narrow cobbled road called Calle del Embudo.

Museo Botero del Banco de la Republica
Much of the work of Fernando Botero from Antioquia can be seen in downtown Bogotá, at the Botero Museum. This site in the La Candelaria neighborhood was founded in a colonial mansion with a collection that the artist donated in 2000 to the Banco de la República, consisting of 208 works (123 of his authorship and 85 of international artists).
